This morning I found an old mix CD I had made, labeled, “Rock Mix w/ Extras”. Unsure of what was on this CD; I decided to listen to it on the way to work.
The rock mix was full of songs I really liked with heavy guitars rifts and hard bass drums. I was really impressed by this CD and my mixing abilities. Then for some reason towards the end of the CD the “Extras” started to come up. At first I thought the Bob Marley track was a little out of place, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. Then you can imagine my surprise when it started playing Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, and Enrique Iglesias.
As I sat there laughing at myself, I couldn’t help but wonder why the hell I ever made this CD. Seriously it makes no sense to include these “extra” songs.
Although looking back on it the Enrique Iglesias song, Just Want To Be With You, is a pretty good jam.

I’ll take a copy, but please make it without Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera. I wouldn’t be opposed to slice of pumpkin pie to enhance the rock experience.
