Monday was what should have been my one year wedding anniversary. While I assumed that this day was going to be somewhat somber, surprisingly it was not. Actually it was a pretty good day to be honest.
While yes the circumstances that transpired a little more than a year ago are still sad, life moves on. Heather and I are both doing well. We’ve completely gone our separate ways and aside from still sharing the same auto insurance, our lives are completely untangled (yeah we’re working on this insurance thing).
But as odd as it may be, Heather and I are actually still friends and talk pretty regularly. I don’t think there are really any hard feelings. It’s just something that she and I deal with.
It’s nice making it to this milestone. It shows me that things are bright going forward.
