My friend Manish and I have a running joke about our life resumes. The concept of the joke is that we both look good on paper. It’s somewhat of a competition that he and I have where we basically just compare our life accomplishments*. Technically he’s beating me at this moment because I don’t own a home. However, come July 18th I’ll be taking the lead in this odd game that we have!
In roughly five weeks I’m closing on a town home. No longer will I pay rent. No longer will I be forced to have to carry my laundry to a laundry room. No longer will my walls be limited to the color of someone else’s choosing. And most importantly, no longer will I have to hear Manish say that he’s better at life than me**.
*Note: Yes I realize that the life resume game makes me sound pretentious.
**Note: The life resume game is not based on the actual value of any possessions obtained. The reason for this is because it’s been said that, “Manish has more money than God”. If the game was based on values; he’d win hands down.
