Since I now seem to have a lot of time on my hands, and having recently gained 7 pounds on my vacation, it’s only natural that I decided to slim down a bit. On a whim I mentioned to my friend Derick that we should challenge each other to a biggest loser contest. This isn’t the first time that I’ve done the biggest loser challenge, see link, but Derick is going to be a must tougher competitor. Also, it helps that Derick and I are starting at the same weight and we’re wagering $10 a week. But just to give you an idea about what I’m up against, Derick sleeps only 4 hours a night, runs roughly 6 miles a day (I’m only at 3 right now) and then lifts weights. He’s a pit-bull I tell you!
Results of week 1:
Blake down 7.8 lbs. – Winner!
Derick down 6.6 lbs.

You should read “Eat to Live” by Dr. Joel Fuhrman. The weight will fall off. However, it will require you to pretty much give up dairy and meat. But what’s more important to you, winning or meat?
