My conversation with the drive thru guy at Taco Bell:
Him: Welcome to Taco Bell. How are you today?
Me: Doing well, thanks. I’d like a number 2 with a diet Pepsi.
Him: You say number 9?
Me: No. A number 2.
Him: Ok. You want medium, hot, or fire sauce?
Me: Medium.
Him: You say hot?
Me: No. Medium.
Him: Ok. I got a number two with a Pepsi and medium sauce.
Me: Diet Pepsi
Him: Ok your total is $4.47, pull around.
Surprisingly, when I got my order, it was actually correct.

Today I had to scan a 400 page document into the computer for my boss. Since it doesn’t take much brainpower to scan things, I started to doodle as I was waiting for the paper to feed into the machine.
What came out is apparently Bigfoot with his head on fire.

The other day my neighbor, an Asian lady, came out to walk her two dogs as I was leaving. When her dogs saw me they started barking like crazy. I could hear her over the dogs saying, “Yuussh! Yuussh!” in a heavy Asian accent. As I walked by her we greeted each other. Surprisingly she said hello and asked me how I was in perfect English.
The question that then came to mind is why would she scold her dogs in heavily accented English if she obviously has no problem speaking without the accent?

Oddly enough I’ve realized that I will seldom buy a book without first reading an article about it and/or looking it up on the internet. It wasn’t until the ride home that I remembered that I had almost bought my newest book (The Authoritative Calvin and Hobbs) a couple of years ago on half.com.
So far it’s one of the best books I’ve ever bought. Honestly it makes me smile every time I open it.

Friday: Game night! Although we began with a rousing game of Circle of Death we ended up playing a few rambunctious games of Outburst. You’ll be happy to know that the guys stomped the ladies. But would you expect any different?

Rock Star!
Saturday: I spent the majority of the day at the lake with the fellas. After a nap and a shower Heather and I went ate dinner at Jonathan’s with some friends (MMMmmmm I love chicken salad sandwiches). Once our bellies were full we hung out at the Tin Roof in Cool Springs until fairly early in the morning.
Sunday: Slept late and then more wedding stuff.

I signed up to be part of my company’s dragon boat team.
Honestly I almost didn’t though. I wasn’t really to keen about giving up a Saturday, but it looked really fun and I’ll probably get a free t-shirt out of it.
Sweet!

I got my back tapped yesterday at physical therapy. This was my first time having my back tapped and so far it seems to be helping. To better illustrate, I literally have a lot tape applied to my back. It looks like a large “V”. What the tape does is force me to maintain a correct position so that it reduces any unnecessary strain. Also it feels like I’m wearing a turtle shell. Since this tape is obviously “profession grade”, I can imagine how great it’s going to feel tonight when I pull it off.
Curse you body hair!

I took a vacation day yesterday. Heather was off and we had some wedding stuff to take care of. Here is the list of everything we accomplished:
- Went to the doctor (my back is still not better)
- Had our passport photos taken at Walgreen’s
- Went to the post office and applied for our passports (don’t worry we had them expedited)
- Ate lunch at Olive Garden
- Went to David’s Bridal and had them put my little sisters bride’s maid dress on hold
- Went to Publix and talked to them about a groom’s cake (got free samples while we were there)
- Did laundry
Now that I’ve written it out I thought we did more than that. Oh well seven things including eating an awesome lunch is a pretty good.

A long time ago Heather and I were told that the best part about getting married is registering for gifts. Now that we’ve done it, I beg to differ. Registering for gifts honestly kind of sucks. You’d be surprised at how quickly an argument can start over something so simple as what type of glasses you’d like to have. Then whenever it you get around to the big decisions like bedspreads, look out. You’d be lucky to leave the store throwing random kitchen utensils at one another. I almost caught a colander in the head.
If you’re going to be registering for gifts sometime soon, for whatever reason, my advise to you is to just scan anything that you think looks cool. Make a game out of it. It’s not everyday you get to walk around a store with a handheld laser. But on that note it’s a good thing that only bar codes are scannable, if not our gift registry would say that we wanted about thirty floor tiles, two or three random lady heads, and about a million shirts that I had on that day.
If you’re interested here’s some links to our registries:
