So Sleepy

Finally for the first day this week I don’t feel like a big pile of crap. Last week I fought off the flu and I thought I was better. Then this week, I’ve absolutely no energy. I even feel asleep at my desk Monday during my lunch break. I just put on my monitor in big letters, “AT LUNCH” and just fell out. Last night I tried to go to bed at 8:00, but Heather asked me to stay up for a little longer. I barely made it to 9:30.

While I still don’t feel like a million bucks, I’d rate myself at about 67%. I think I may even go running tonight when I get home. Then again, by that time I may be ready for a nap.

So Bored

Talk about a lazy Sunday. I haven’t much of anyhting today. I got up, watched King Kong and made myself go to the grocery store just so I could say that I did something productive. Now I’m sitting here waiting on the pizza guy and trying not to fall asleep.

Today is Ash Wednesday. Since I’m not Catholic, I’ve just decided to give up picking my bellybutton for Lent.

Stooges Story

On Saturday I went to Petsmart to pick up a new filter for my fish tank. While I was there I decided to get 5 “feeder fish” for my bigger fish, Caesar, to eat. Just in case you don’t know, feeder fish are actually just a thin goldfish that is bread to “feed” to larger fish. Since they don’t make fish toys, I figured that the feeder fish would be a nice treat.

When I got home I cleaned the tank and dumped the feeder fish in. Then I waited. Normally Caesar would swim around the tank gobbling each of the feeder fish up until there were none left (it’s kind of cool to watch). This time however, he ate two and decided that he didn’t want to be bothered with the trouble of having to swim around for these fish and didn’t pay them anymore attention.

Now I’ve got three $0.12 stupid goldfish in my fish tank just hanging around, pooping up the place. I’ve decided to name them as a group the Stooges since they’re just always hanging out together. I didn’t want to name them individually because the $0.12 goldfish just aren’t worth it.

Last night I brought a jar of homemade jelly home from my grandmother’s house. Naturally when I showed it to Heather I had to sing,

“I don’t think you’re ready for this jelly
I don’t think you’re ready for this jelly
I don’t think you’re ready for this jelly
My Granny’s jelly is just to delicious for you baby”

Britney Spears Used To Be So Hot

Let me summarize this article for you.

Britney Spears checked into rehab for one day then showed up in a tattoo parlor with her head shaved.

Either she’s totally gone off the deep end or that rehab clinic she checked into must have been some hell hole that was trying to prevent to spread of lice. I’m guessing she’s just lost her mind.

Gretchen Wilson brushed against me as she made her way through the hordes of people in Tin Roof on Demonbreun last night.

Then immediately after she walked by some big guy she was with pushed me out the way.

TV Really Is Better With Tivo

I used to not like the show Scrubs. At least that was the case until my Tivo kept telling me I would.

Constantly my Tivo recorded Scrubs and constantly I deleted it. Then one day I sat down and watched an episode. While I wasn’t immediately impressed, it wasn’t too bad. As I began to watch more and more of the show, I realized that it was really funny.

Now I try and listen whenever my Tivo trys to tell me something. It may actually know what it’s talking about.

An Update On My Half-Marathon Training

Training / 4 Comments

Yesterday I ran 3.54 miles. Today I’m going for 4. While this may not seem like a lot since I’m planning on running 13.1 in a half-marathon at the end of April, I feel like I’m making some serious progress (I have only been training now for two weeks). Since my back injury and having terrible cold kept me from running for several months, I felt like I was almost to the point where I was about to have to completely start over.

While things are going well I haven’t gotten to the point with my running where my body just relaxes. As odd as that sounds, I realized last year while I was training that all of a sudden I really enjoyed running and I found it very refreshing. Suddenly 6, 7 miles were easily chalked up without a second thought. My body just kind of went with it and my mind let go. It’s hard to explain without actually experiencing it, but it’s pretty awesome. Right now however I’m still working though the “fighting stage”, where just have to push through it (It kind of sucks).

I wish They Had A Buy It Now Feature

I’ve been trying to buy a water pump off of ebay for my fish tank, but every time I bid on one I always get outbid a couple of minutes later. It’s very frustrating.

If you happen to find a cheap in-line water pump let me know.
