Well since Studio 60 isn’t on tonight, I’m guessing that NBC didn’t waste a second on pulling that plug. From here on out NBC is not allowed anywhere near me in the event I need to go to the hospital, no matter how minuscule it is.
Seriously though, I’m kind of pissed that they canceled Studio 60. I really liked that show. I felt that it was one of the few, “smart” shows out there. While I can see that some of the show’s charm might have been lost on a few viewers; I really enjoyed the clever whit and writing.
I guess now they’ll fill that time slot with some stupid reality/game show.
Oh well, as long as they don’t cancel Prison Break and Heroes, I’ll be ok.

Here’s a picture of the Halloween costumes I made. I couldn’t help but notice that I sewed in an uncanny ability for the costume to illuminate how little I’ve been working out. Next step, do some curls.

Since I’m posting pictures, here’s one from the Titan’s game on Sunday. Heather and I were amazed that they actually won.

Thursday, while I was I was at work, Heather called and asked if I had taken the radar detector out of her car. When I informed her that I hadn’t, she kind of freaked out. Apparently the night before, someone had gotten into her car and stolen it and a pair of my sunglasses. Whether the door was unlocked or not shut properly we don’t know. We do know that nothing else was taken and luckily for us nothing was broken.
Worried that the person(s) who broke in would come back, we completely emptied Heather’s car. Then we decided that wasn’t good enough, so we went out and bought a new Saturn ION 3 just like the one below, with a security alarm.

I make it sound as if we’re just rolling in the cash, but seriously Heather’s car did get broken into the other night and someone did steal our radar detector and my sunglasses. Also we really did go out and buy a Saturn ION 3 on Thursday. But it was only because we had been shopping for a new car for over a month. It was just coincidence that we did it immediately after some jerkbag broke into our other one.

My plan was to come home tonight from work and “relax”. Apparently to me relaxing means taking a nap. However, since I knew that if I took a nap, I’d be up all night, I decided to just hang out around the house.
After I ate dinner, I stared at the computer for a while and accomplished nothing. Then I watched half an episode of the Simpson’s and again accomplished nothing. After that I decided to look at a magazine but eventually gave up without really reading one article. Again accomplishing nothing. Finally after “relaxing” (doing nothing but thinking about taking a nap) for a while I figured that if I’m just going to sit around, I might as well be productive.
With that said, I balanced my checkbook, checked the mail, picked up the living room, did some dishes, threw a load of laundry in, vacuumed the carpet, and hooked up a second printer to my computer. Now I’m just waiting for Heather to get home before I decide to paint the walls or something.

Since Halloween costumes now only come in two flavors , expensive & slutty, I’ve decided to make mine and Heather’s Halloween costumes this year. We’ve decided to be Fred and Wilma Flintstone. Get it, she has red hair and I could eat a brontosaurus burger. It’s a pretty good costume for us.
Any how, now that the costumes are just about complete, I’ve noticed that the Fred costume is basically an orange dress.
Pictures to come soon.

Heather thinks the new layout is kind of girly. What do you think about the new green background? It’s plain to me, but definitely not girly anymore.

It’s 6:00 AM on Sunday morning and I’m sitting at my computer with my cat because I couldn’t sleep. I think ultimately the problem was that the air was set at 74, not 73 like it should be. I figured this out when I got up a couple of minutes ago because I was tired of sweating. Also for some reason I had a math problem that wasn’t relevant to anything stuck in my head and I just couldn’t get it worked out. So all night long I’m struggling to figure out how to solve this ridiculous problem with a wicked Excel formula.
I’m so white and nerdy…
On a different note, since I’ve got nothing to do at 6:00 AM on Sunday morning, I bought two new shirts at Marshall’s yesterday. Polo brand oxford button ups. Yellow and blue. Nice. Regularly $80. Marshall’s price, $35.
I figured that since I had some birthday money and I’m always at work anyway, might as well. Also I bought some brown socks. But who care about that?

Have you heard the new Weird Al Yankovic song, White and Nerdy? It’s kind of about me.

The other afternoon I thought to myself, “some popcorn would make for a good snack”. After I went downstairs and got some, I threw it in the microwave for four minutes and started reading the bulletin board in the break room. After I had read all the job postings and promotions going on in the company, I went back to check on my popcorn.
It had only been in the microwave for three and a half minutes but I noticed that the popcorn was smoking. I figured that I had burnt it a little, but no big deal.
As the bag continued to smoke and showed no signs of stopping I pulled it open. It was then that I saw that the popcorn was on fire! I threw it in the sink and turned the water on.
By now the whole break room is covered in smoke and I notice that I can’t breath. I’m filling light headed. I needed to get out of there. So I stepped out into the hall to catch my breath and I see that the smoke is now coming out and filling up the HR department.
It wasn’t long before people were prairie dogging from their cubicles and coming out of their offices to see if everything was OK.
Luckily disaster was averted, but it was such an embarrassment going around letting people know that the building wasn’t on fire, it was just me burning a bag of popcorn.

Yesterday I bought a book to study for the GMAT. If you don’t know the GMAT is the ACT/SAT like test that you have to take to get into grad school. More specifically, you have to take it to go to grad school to get an MBA.
While it’s not really necessary for me to get an MBA, I’ve just really been on the fence about whether or not I wanted to do it. I guess I’m just trying to foresee things a little ways down the road.
