As I went to drop off some things at the “fake goodwill” in Murfreesboro today, I almost yelled at an old lady. However, since yelling at an old lady is one of those things that might cause karma to strike you down where you stand, I decided not too.
In my defense I believe that my need for yelling was justified. I had a trunk load of things that I had been meaning to drop off. When I pulled up, I popped my trunk, carried the first load in, and dropped it into the donation bin. As I was walking back with a second load, an old lady pulled up on the other side of the entrance* and rolled the donation bin right out to her car. Standing there for a minute with a load of donations in my hands and realizing what had just happened, I sort of got a little annoyed. This is the part where I thought about yelling at the old woman. Especially since she looked at me and saw me with an arm load of donations as she wheeled the donation bin the other way.
Since it’s been decided earlier that yelling at old women is wrong, I just set all my donations there in the floor. I figure if someone has a problem with me not putting my stuff that I’m giving to them for free in the proper bin, they can take it up with that old woman.
*The building used to be a Food Lion so there were two entrances, one on the right and one on the left. FYI: It’s a long walk and way out of the way to walk to the other entrance.
