Three weeks ago I was out with my friends at the usual establishment that we frequent on Friday nights, when my girlfriend pointed out a dollar bill laying on the floor. Not being one to throw away money I picked it up, put it in my pocket, and was clearly in a better mood for the rest of the evening.
The next Friday we were at the same establishment when I just happened to look down to find a ten dollar bill laying there with no one around to claim it. Once again I picked it up, put it in my pocket, and obviously was in a better mood for the rest of the evening.
Then most recently on Thursday evening I stopped at a gas station to pick up a 32oz. fountain drink on sale for $.52. While I was at the gas station I cashed in a free lottery ticket that I’ve had for some time now. When I scratched it off I was astonished to learn that I won $21. After showing all my friends my accomplishment I picked it up, put it in my pocket, and naturally was in a better mood for the rest of the evening.
At this rate I’ll be able to quit my two jobs by the end of the summer and just live off my luck. Sadly however, I know by me writing this that my luck will probably come to a screeching halt as soon as I post this.
Then again, you never know.
